@&!# Yeah Sports Shooter!

It's hard to top our epic previous post (192 comments and counting!) but we have more stories to tell! So let us continue.

A factoid we've mentioned several times, but that a sad couple in Connecticut refuses to believe, is that photography industry professionals sincerely have a problem with Steven Frischling. They've left dozens of comments here expressing their thoughts on him, from frustration to outright hatred, but no doubt S&S think it's all lies.

We're getting insane traffic coming from various photography forums, some of which are members only and we can't see what's being said. However, the majority is coming from SportsShooter.com (where Steven has irritated people for years) and an "addendum" site, fuckyeahsportsshooter.tumblr.com. The Tumblr site is a tongue-in-cheek homage to SportsShooter which features notable photos and quotes from SportsShooter members.

They just love us over at FYSS. The site now links to our blog posts, and now they are regularly using stupid quotes from Steven Frischling we've posted!

Why are they doing this? It backs up the comments left here that Frischling is a giant joke to true working photographers.

Thank you for this!

We may not be experts, but is a "journalist who wears blinders" truly the most dangerous thing?

What about "photojournalists" who lie about everything? Couldn't this possibly damage the credibility of all photojournalists?

What about "photojournalists" who offer advice to people about going to war zones when they have never, ever been to one themselves? Isn't that dangerous?

What about "photojournalists" who design fake government stickers to get their equipment past the TSA at the airport, and put it online for others to print out? Isn't that a bit dangerous AND illegal?

What about "photojournalists" who brag about taking small knives with them on planes, and advise others how to do it too?

And they just added this gem we hadn't seen.... yet another assault!

  1. Glad you like the site. In the next week, there will be some great lameFish quotes and photos published. Keep up the great work FishFraud.

  2. What's so fuckin' fishy here is that supposedly Addison moved out of his La Jolla home (foreclosed?) and now his 'About Me' say New York, NY yet his email is out of the UK.

Running, hiding? Or just lost? @&!# Yeah!! Smells fishy to us!

  3. this blog has been entertaining. i've long ago tuned out frisch on sportsshooter because he keeps talking out of his asshole (not recommended unless you're jim carrey). it fascinates me that he's talked himself in a corner time and time again. great work digging up his posts which continually contradicts himself or exposes himself as a liar. now only if you can find those famous photos of his! lol, they'll never surface because they don't exist.

as for his followers, they're lemmings for a reason. come on! if you're so stupid you don't know how to travel on an airplane, follow all the rules that are posted on the tsa or carrier sites, comprehend simple instructions and use common sense, by all means keep following frisch. i'd rather not be in that gene pool.

That's it, lame quotes? Where are the bellyaching pissed-off wedding people??

  5. Blog master, why are we bailing on the sad 1:55 am wedding people that were dumb shits for hiring Fish in the first place? They even admitted their fuck up by saying "never hire someone without several legitimate references."

How can we abandon them at their time of need?

    ReplyDelete
  6. "They even admitted their fuck up by saying "never hire someone without several legitimate references.""

Wow. Are you saying anyone who hires Steven Frischling deserves what they get?

    Please extrapolate on this.

    ReplyDelete
  7. PS Frischling lacks several legitimate references as a "social media consultant" either.

Are you saying that anyone who hires him will be "fucking up" (to quote you)?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Let's nip this one in the bud: due diligence or not, you can't blame the victims--in this case the bride and groom who didn't get their wedding pics--for being stupid. That's ridiculous. They paid for a service by someone they were led to believe was a professional and they got hosed.

    ReplyDelete
  9. ^ FYI that's Steven or Susannah posting. Blaming the victims is not new for them.

Again, every comment they leave makes their situation much, much worse. Geniuses they are not.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Woe. On what barely arguable grounds do you think anyone has given up on that couple? They are very much in the hearts and minds of, oh, probably most of the people reading this blog. Christ, if you think you're going to win any friends going down that road you are out of your friggin mind. In fact, Shame on you dude. You're more than laughable now. You're becoming pretty fucking disgusting.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Please extrapolate....

    ReplyDelete
  12. What part of the - sad 1:55 am wedding people that were dumb shits for hiring Fish in the first place who ADMITTED their fuck up by saying "never hire someone without several legitimate references" - do you not understand? Challenging words to understand for simple minds?

And who is to blame for their choice, if indeed the story is even true. Perhaps they would like to back it up or EXTRAPOLATE a tad, or would you like to try all-wonderful blog master.

I guess those that buy lotto tickets and lose should blame the lotto.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Wow. Have you got this backwards. Look up the word "defraud." Let's see, illegal, deceive. The couple did not engage in any of those things. Are people fuck ups for giving a photographer a chance to make good? He was given the opportunity, apparently many times over, to make good - this is how decent people behave. People give others the benefit of the doubt. Fish took advantage of them and stole their money. You're barking completely up the wrong tree.

    ReplyDelete
  14. You can't make one argument, not one, not this entire time, not to anyone, that makes any damn sense. This is like talking to a child - no, I know 2 year olds smarter than this.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Don't let it be said that people didn't try to shut you up.

    ReplyDelete
  16. ^so, it would seem Susannah thinks the odds of getting professional work out of Steven Frischling are the same as winning the lottery.

We think the chances of winning the lottery are much higher.

    ReplyDelete
  17. You should right at home!

    ReplyDelete
  18. http://img138.imageshack.us/i/fugly.jpg

since Frischling means Piggy, but they're not married, does that make her Miss Piggy but not Mrs. Piggy?

Why does he call phone sex lines when she's so pretty?

    ReplyDelete
  19. 4:31: Your argument is fucking ridiculous. The 1:55 am couple did NOT buy a Lotto ticket. They entered into a contract with Steven Frischling for wedding photography services. And they got nothing.

Trying to skew this argument into a let's-blame-the-rape-victim-for-what-she-was-wearing scenario is just gross. In hindsight, it seems pretty obvious that Frischling is not the guy you want to entrust your wedding photos with. But this couple did not have the luxury of knowing what we know now and blaming them for simply trying to get their wedding pictures--photography services they paid for-- is absurd. And it makes life harder for honest photography professionals to boot.

    ReplyDelete
  20. care to extrapolate....?

  22. No I didn't. Yes you did. No I didn't. Yes you did. Some poster was right awhile back. There's some sick need of hers/his to engage you in name calling - they literally have nothing, so that's what we're getting in return.

    ReplyDelete
  23. ^They're obviously very angry and are blaming everyone they can find for what they have done to themselves. Or, what he has done to them while she sat around and encouraged/enabled it.

Real photojournalists have pointed out to us that that is not how professionals work.

After I introduced myself he said something like, "Oh, thank God you're not Steve Frischling." That was almost 8 years ago, and he was already rubbing people the wrong way.

Imagine being being pitched by piglet as a SM expert and keeping a straight face when you know about this site? Surely a test from hell.

    ReplyDelete
  44. 7:48-
    Yes, you're wrong.

Their only mistake was trusting Steven Frischling to give them what he was contractually obligated to do.

If, as Steven has admitted, some people did not get their photos, why hasn't he refunded their money?

Here is his bio from his blog at Boarding Area: "Steven Frischling, aka: Fish, is globe hopping professional photographer, airline emerging media consultant working with large global airlines and founder of The Travel Strategist."

If ANY of that is true, and he is actually working as a professional photographer and consultant for "large global airlines" and founder of his own company, why can't he refund a few thousand bucks?

Is it because NONE of it is true? Does he have any clients at all?

How much are you willing to bet we are Addison? That seems like a large gamble to make when you have no actual evidence. And no money to bet with.

And, you know very well you are not married, despite the many references to the "wife." Saying it doesn't make it so.

Why is it she never married you? Can't afford a ring? You both certainly seem perfect for each other.

Post your own responses, delete those that don't agree with the program and air your dirty laundry while recruiting others to do the same.

Have fun, sounds like a blast!

    ReplyDelete
  61. ^we leave plenty of comments that "don't agree with the program" - what we delete is douchebags having conversations with themselves like you were doing.

Question: Why is it that Steven Frischling doesn't have anyone who will stick up for him using their real names?

Ask yourself - if there was an anonymous blog tearing you apart and calling you a fraud in your profession, would you have friends, family, associates or "fans" of your work who would be willing to use their own names and defend you and your work?

    With Frischling... total silence.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Frischling is so out of control that he has even lashed out at the founder of sports shooter (who he used to totally kiss up to) on the message boards and via email calling him a "huge asshole" for being "off topic" on a thread. frischling is the king of off topic on sports shooter, constantly hijacking threads to talk about all of his gear and to plug his fucking travel blog. Did you know that he went to the super bowl? I do, only because he must have mentioned it least 50 times since he went in 2003.

By the way Fish Fuck, you completely insulted any legitimate journalist who has risked their life to cover a war with your fucking fantasy tale of being shot at when you were "covering" war in iraq. You've never technically been to Iraq since you never left the airport on that stupid Richard Branson junket. The only time you were remotely close to being there was when you were on a boat "near" iraq. You were not there for two weeks, but for a 5 days! And not in 120 degree heat in a field. No, you were on a raft with the coast guard watching them do routine boardings from a distance and your pathetic excuse for photos prove it. If you had actually experinced war you wouldn't be bragging about it. You'd have some respect for the soldiers who are fighting and the journalists that are right there with them through good and bad. Just because you saw it on tv, doesn't mean you actually did it. Ass clown. What did you think you were going to gain from making up and exaggerating stories about Iraq, hurricanes and whatever else you thought you did. Didn't you ever stop to think while you were masquerading as a photographer that maybe someone might want to see pictures if this stuff? Photographers take pictures, at least real ones do. I know when I go on an assignment I have pictures from my experiences and I let those do the talking. Real photographers that are actually assigned to cover big events don't usually don't need to brag about what they do.

Further, you might be the only person on earth who responds to a thread on sports shooter about "what kind of bag you use" by starting out your post with "when I was at the super bowl..." Who fucking cares dude. Yes, you went to the super bowl. Big f'ing deal. You were shooting from the lamest spot at qualcomm stadium. Why? Because the folks at UPI who were editing that night know how much you suck. And since you weren't really assigned to be there (you just somehow got UPI to get you a credential) you ended up shooting from the rafters and editing your own shit because nobody really thought you would get anything that would be worth a shit. And, they were right. You will argue that you asked to be put up there because you like to shoot form different angles, blah blah blah. I know from a longtime UPI staffer that was there in San Diego that you're full of shit.

How about that time you shot the world series with a fucking Lensbaby and also left your field position (during the game!!) to go shoot some "features" throughout the stadium. Who the fuck does that? Not only were those quite possibly the worst photos ever taken at a major league baseball game, but you had the nerve to brag that they made dozens of sales through your "agency". Please dude, do you really expect anyone to believe that? Show us one example, just one. David Burnett could pull off the Lensbaby during a major event, but not you.

You're a faux-tographer, a wannabe and you always have been. Do the world of photography a favor, quit insulting our profession by claiming you're a photographer, it really makes us sick. Blind people take better pictures than you do.

    ReplyDelete
  63. ^ Why would anyone defend anything against your agenda only to have their posts filtered, edited and/or deleted?

Hey, I'm agreeing with you, you have a hell of a scam goin' here. Keep it up, GOP journalism at its best! You must work for FOX. But don't you think it's only fair to warn posters that you will indeed filter, edit and/or delete anything against your agenda?

Anyone that truly believes anything on this site is the truth really needs to have their head examined. Compromise one post and you contaminate the whole blog, but then why the hell would you care. This blog is as credible as that $3 bill mentioned in the earlier posts.

Rock on baby, the world is yours!

    ReplyDelete
  64. "But don't you think it's only fair to warn posters that you will indeed filter, edit and/or delete anything against your agenda?"

How can you filter or edit comments in Blogger? Delete yes, but edit? Not possible.

Anyone can look through the hundreds comments and see there are several "against" this site (all from Susannah and Steven). So your accusation that we're deleting everything that doesn't agree with us just makes you look stupider.

You can scream and shout all you like, it won't distract anyone from the point of this blog. In fact, you just drive more curious people to reload to see what you're posting next.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Okay, "pal." You want a verdict? You're right. If we can get a verdict regarding someone with a history of not showing up for court dates, sure, that's reasonable. Whose side do you want to bet on? 67. People can get in trouble for saying nasty things online and obviously the people who hate Frischling don't want to be associated with him in any way. Look at how he has attacked innocent people who he suspects are behind this blog, only because of his paranoid delusions.

But you can't get in trouble for saying nice things online, can you? Shouldn't his friends and family be proud of him and go on the record with their real names about how this site is being unfair to a misunderstood person? Makes no sense why his supporters would want to be anonymous.

I don't know if this message will find its way to you via this blog or not, but it seems as if you are an active participant on the comments so I thought this might be the best venue to address you. I'm not doing it on SportsShooter, which is more (usually) professional.

Long ago I decided to not pay much attention to you on the SS message boards because you seemed like a braggart and a person too full of himself to take seriously. This was just from reading what you had posted. I always reserved the benefit of the doubt about you, but I had decided to take what you posted with a grain of salt.

I was sent this site a few months ago, perused the top few entries and had a laugh. It's just natural, right? After what I had read, I still may have defended you if I had met you or had you offered a defense. I have neither experienced meeting you in person nor have I heard or read a defense.

But then you made some pissy comment to Bert Hanashiro, someone who has done so much for the photojournalism community, on the message board of SS (http://www.sportsshooter.com/message_display.html?tid=37765), I thought I would look back into this site. And I read it from start to finish.

You sir, are a fucking mess. I know others have handled you with kid gloves and remained anonymous on this site, but I am not willing to do that. You are not only fucking over wedding clients by not delivering on what you agreed, you are also besmirching my profession and possibly giving people a reason to question me just because I am a photojournalist.

Here is my email address: sam@lasvegassun.com

I would like you to answer to the charges put forth in this blog and back it up with proof.

I don't play games like you and the owners of this blog do, but unless I have some evidence to counter these claims, I will fight when necessary to protect my industry and my reputation as a journalist.

    Signed,

    Sam Morris

  82. Anyone that truly believes anything on this site is the truth really needs to have their head examined. Compromise one post and you contaminate the whole blog, but then why the hell would you care. This blog is as credible as that $3 bill mentioned in the earlier posts.

Sure take away all of the posts - go right ahead, just leave everything you've written that's been recorded on the internet for years- word for word, just as you've created them. Really clever, Dick Tracy. You've done this to yourself.

  83. Steven, it's 3AM local time (if you are JFK, I could be wrong if you are SFO, HKG or FKT or whatever other airport codes you decide to memorize), and I still haven't gotten a direct response.

    Will I ever?

  86. This stuff is great, I can't look away. Each thread gets more and more comments. Guess I don't understand the off-topic GOP and FOX references, but entertaining nonetheless.
What's the over under on the number of days before this guy will get on a plane again? For someone that writes about flying so much, he sure doesn't seem to travel more than once in a blue moon. JFK-SFO-CDG-HKG my ass. Nobody believes he's doing anything more than sitting in the house re-tweeting other people's content. LH certainly has some egg on their face and won't be inviting him back on any more junkets.

  87. Man, I forgot the "come fly with fish" thing - total crap. I mean, who'd pay to be dragged around Europe and not have a bit of fun and take photos galore?
