Frischling Comes Out of Hibernation...

Steven Frischling: Over 1 Billion Lies Served!

He came out of hibernation to respond to Flight Africa, who shared the tale of Frischling trying to extort an African airline two years ago:

One problem: FlyEU never claimed this. We saw his Tweets and his blog. He never once said he tracked it to his Twitter IP.

Again, Frischling thinks nobody will bother to check out what he says. All he wants to do is get out of something for the next 10 seconds. It's like he thinks he is outsmarting everyone

Happy Lying, folks!

Update: The impostor Kenya Air Twitter!

  1. "ha ha ha. Thanks or the laugh"

Ever notice as he gets more agitated the number of his typos increase?

  2. I am a little slow here so bear with me...the newspaper stories say this guy is 35 years old. That would make his birth year 1976 or 1975. HIs work experience on his LinkedIn page, and I use the word experience in its most loose context, states that he was a "Freelance Photographer [at] The Associated Press from 1992 – 1997 (5 years). Everyone okay with this story of a 16-17 year old AP stringer? Are there any former Boston or NYC AP people out there who can vouch for this story?

  3. Speaking of the court system, the New London DA's office has a gold mine of information on Frischling thanks to the hard work of FF (and the 3 other people who post here). Oh please please please let this get to trial!

  4. Also from his LinkedIn page, please Google "2002 olympic committee feature photography team" and note the interesting results returned...

  5. This LinkedIn page is a gift..."
    • Developed a total emerging media strategy for Kenya Airways. Research of the strategies for Kenya Airways focused on mobile solutions due to limited access to the internet in the region and the rapidly increasing use of smart phones in Africa"

    Well maybe not...

  6. 11:49, there are more than four people posting here.

Nothing from this blog could be used at trial, but hopefully they've looked extensively at Frischling's background and that helped them decide to pursue charges!

  7. Imagine though when he takes the stand in his own defense, which we all know he can't resist, how soon he'll perjure himself because he can't keep all of his stories straight as we have seen from the four guys who have posted them here.

  8. 12:07, why do you keep saying there are four guys posting here? I don't know if you're implying FishFraud is four people, or that there is one FishFraud and three guys who leave comments, but either way you're wrong. Sorry.

  10. There is a group of professional photographers here in Brussels who have spent several entertaining hours debating Fishsticks stupidity, or is it arrogance... His antics are well known in Europe, at least when we all gather at events he is the brunt of our jokes. Well, he is a f*@king joke so I suppose its a compliment, really.

  11. FF, didn't Frischling claim at one time (on his blog perhaps) that all of the comments posted here were the work of only 3-4 people and that FF didn't really have any following? I think that's where these comments are coming from.

  12. 12:31, yes he's said probably said that, or maybe it was Susannah Seefeldt (his "wife") when she was leaving nasty comments. Of course they've gone through about 10 conspiracy theories, accusing and attacking different people. It's quite funny.

  13. How does fishnuts go from this tweet
    "@FlyEU...I've never heard of you"
    to this tweet
"@FlyEU Sam, I do however have my DMs from @KenyaAirways saved & my emails."

He knows the name of the guy he had never heard of?

(I may start drinking early today!)

  14. Dear FF, many many posts ago, a joke was started in response to SF claiming this was all the work of one person, or two, or three, whatever number his deranged mind concluded at the time. The joke became that you were Moe, Larry, and Curly, or Zeppo, Chico or Groucho. We're just having fun that this community is really not just three people, and at the same time, recognizing the contribution you, whoever you are, have made to exposing this numskull.

  15. ^ 11:48: SF claims (the reference is found somewhere in the annals of this blog) that he became a full time (paid?) working published photographer at age 15.

  16. ^11:54. Very interesting. There must be several photogs on SS who can confirm or deny Frischling's claim that he led the 2002 Olympic feature photo team? Why doesn't a single Frischling photo from Salt Lake show up in a google search?

Another big thanks to the fine person/people here at FF!

  20. From The Not So Much Dept. via his LinkedIn page:
"From a social media perspective, Steven is the penultimate expert. Not a lot of people can truly and accurately claim this accreditation but Steven knows what he's talking about in terms of effective social media marketing and the landscape in general."
    March 5, 2011
3rd Baochi N., PR/Social Media Manager, Boingo Wireless
was with another company when working with Steven at Flying With Fish

Why are his three recommendations all from people with 3rd level connections and not 1st level? Can these be juked?

  21. From The They Said It Dept. via his LinkedIn page:
“You can tell a lot about a person who is very active on Twitter. Their ethics, initiative, level of knowledge, skills in human interaction, and other characteristics become clear."

3rd Donald N., President, BidOnTravel.com, Nadeau eSolutions LLC
was with another company when working with Steven at Flying With Fish

    As clear as mud.

  22. From The Last Laugh Dept. via his LinkedIn page:

  23. he was hired as an editor? he can't even spell.

  24. ^these are very believable!

The funny thing is he gives himself away right there with that spelling of "humour"

  25. "From a social media perspective, Steven is the penultimate expert."

Hmmm... Actually may be a grain of truth here.

  26. Well our boy caught on...he has added a fourth recommendation to his LinkedIn page but has restricted his full profile view to LinkedIn members so he can track back.Don't waste your time creating a membership or logging on as I bet the new addition is as phony as the three previous ones that were shared here. Nice try fishfry...

  27. ^ 1:17. Thanks for the update. His actions, to me at least, give away that he understands, in some small part of his de-evolving reptilian brain, awareness of deceit.

  28. June 8, 11:48, I was a stringer for the AP in Boston during the time that SF claims to have been there. I only saw him in the offices on High Street once, having some film looked at the by the editor there. A heated exchange, then a request for him to leave resulted. Not sure if he ever returned to the AP Boston offices.
Several months later, maybe even a year, I crossed paths with him while covering a Harvard hockey game. I knew he was a fraud then when he told me that while he was 'working for Harvard University,' AP had requested he cover the game for them. It was all I could do to ignore him because I had actually been sent to the game by the Boston AP photo editor. He couldn't have been older than maybe 20-21 at that time, and the date was March of 1994.
