Breaker! Breaker! Steven Frischling Caught In Yet Another Lie

Steven Frischling's autobiography
The sleuths in the FishFraud Mickey Mouse club used their secret decoder rings (otherwise known as their eyeballs) to expose another hilarious Steven Frischling tale.

This one came from a 2004 post on the Sportsshooter message board regarding police scanners. Naturally, Frischling, the expert on all things, is the first one to reply. He says this about licenses:
"In every state a Ham licenses allows you to carry a scanner. You can get a No-Code Ham licenses at Radio Shack, just buy the book, fill out a form and send it in."
Someone immediately responds to correct him:
"As for the license itself, it takes more than filling out a from. In order to obtain a "no code" Technician license, you must pass a written exam (not hard) that's administered by FCC approved Volunteer Examiners."
As usual, Frischling does not apologize for his goof but insists he got his license this way, now substituting the word "exam" for "form."
"When I got my HAM license, back in 92 (I have no idea what my identifier is, I know, I am a poor excuse for a geek :0) ) I got the book at Radio Shack. Read it for about an hour, took the exam, and that was it.

Pretty easy.

I got my HAM because Suffolk County, Long Island, was being a pain in the butt about a mobile mounted scanner in a car."
The same guy responds...
"If you were a tech and got your license in 1992, then it should have expired in 2002. There's a two year grace period in renewing your license, so depending on when it was issued in 1992 you may still be able to renew it for the cost of a stamp. I pulled out my 1996 Callbook CD and tried to look you up and see when it expired, but I didn't get a hit."
Frischling does not offer an explanation of this but his story gets wilder... once again claiming he was the victim of police harassment:
"I have my HAM license somewhere. I thought it expired about a year ago. I will probably try and renew, or take the exam again. As stated, my primary reason for getting the license was to deal with a Suffolk County Police Officer who seemed to give me me hell often at scenes (of course I was 17, but I was shooting for legit news outlets, so I'm sure I was the easiest target).

I used to keep the info in my car, until I got my Nassau County Police press credential (he would not take my NYPD one for some reason)."
Once again the other guy responds:
"I have a 1996 Callbook CD, but I can't see a "Frischling" using the name search. If you need help, let me know the address you lived at when you were licensed and I'll take a look for you."
But Frischling insists he should be there!
"I should be there....I'm pretty sure my name was "Frischling" since June of 1975 :0)"
But guess what? A search of all active and expired licensees only brings up one Frischling - someone named David Frischling of Maine. Search for yourself:

So what's the deal Frischling? Why aren't you listed?

Oh and where can we find your licensing information for the time you claimed you worked as a firefighter/EMT?

Thanks to the FishFraud fans for sending this to us and posting it on comments!

  1. I know! The Easter Bunny (that wascilly wabbit) hacked into the database and erased poor old Frischling's name. What a shame.

  2. He probably had to register under a secret code name, since the authorities were out to get him.

" I had a Motorola Saber/Spectre radio in my car linked to a Compaq laptop. Mine was actually set up by an NCPD radio tech, never asked where the stuff came from, except I bough the radio and laptop, the rest he came up with somehow. "

Yeah, I'm sure a Nassau County (NY) Police Department radio tech, staff or contractor, would risk his career by installing an illegal mobile monitoring system for such a stellar civilian media member as our hero...sure, no problem believing this...really...

Wow, is this all you have, really?? Tell us, when was the last time you little fucks actually got laid. And fucking each other does not count.

Most kids your age are out on a Friday night, you mentally challenged emo-wannabe's just sit in front of your computer and do what, whack off to Fish items. Cool.

  5. Most people are out earning an honest living. And yeah, actually, this is pretty hilarious. You're just another cartoon on the funny pages. You should try relaxing just a bit. That mouth of yours sure is foul when you get cornered.

  6. Whacking off to Fish items? Huh?

Oh, you mean like how Fish whacks off to phone sex and then doesn't pay the bill?

  7. 4:53. Can't you fucking read? This WHOLE SITE is filled with this stuff. Funny too. We're getting plenty while you're having a tough time figuring any of this out.

    ReplyDelete
  8. From what I understand, whacking off is one thing that SF actually has documented proof of.

    ReplyDelete
  9. and uh, so 4:53, what are you doing here on a Friday night? I'm having a pretty good laugh. How about you? Do you have some mental challenge that's keeping you from doing something more productive than screaching at people?

  10. You know, in case you haven't figured it out, you've always been welcome to come here and settle things. Just answer some questions. Have a dialog if we're so out of line. How come you just use words like fuck, easter bunny, whacking, jerks, you know, words that aren't very productive.

  11. From nppa-l ("Freedom of the airwaves," 9/18/97):

"I am a column editor for The Scanner Club a bi-monthly scanner & radio publication (yes I use spell check). Aside from that I write articals on scanning legalities, I have written up a lesser known law about scanning in NY State with mobile & portable scanners that are never enforced. I am also a news-paging service dispatcher in my freetime for Fire Page of New Jersey (FPNJ) and am essentially responsible for keeping the NYC & Long Island dispatchers in line and making sure we stay legal in what is paged and how the information was recieved via the airwaves."

And this gem, also from nppa-l ("Police scanners," 11/24/98):

"In my car currently I have five 100 channel mobile scanners, one 100channel portable scanner, one 20 channel portable scanner and one 200channel portable scanner, all are Radio Shack, as well I have one 100 channel and one 200channel base scanner at home from Radio Shack
and one 16 channel Uniden base scanner."

  14. Its becoming all too much. The little Shrimp has a lot to answer, but, as with most mental illnesses, it is the responsibility of friends and family to intervene, to help and assist during crisis moments. This is what friends and loved ones do for each other.

If any of our close friends suffered physical disability, I am positive we would rally round and support his family. Surely the same support mechanism applies to a friend, loved one or family member if the affliction is emotional, mental or financial.

So this is a call out to all of Frischlings close friends.

What are you doing about his erratic and antisocial behavior?

Have you confronted, challenged and I suppose discussed ways for a clean exit strategy to end this e-ssassination?

I am going to pin the blame on Shrimps closest friends. Who are you folk anyway? Allowing a close friend to drown in a sea insults and character injury while clearly he is suffering some form of delusional mental incapacity.

Its the Friends of Frischling that carries the lions share of his conduct. Form a circle, intervention, workout a long term plan to seek professional medical help, restitution, and a meaningful job suitable with his limited skill sets.

Your friend is sick. You know it. It is your responsibility as a friend to take care of the problem.

Oh fuck....Does he have any friends?

    ReplyDelete
  15. The same thing was said 15 years ago. 15 years later here you are.

    ReplyDelete
  16. ^ No.

He has almost 8k Twitter followers and no friends in real life. I suppose his poor kids are his only friends?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Don't forget baby mama Susanna.

    ReplyDelete
  18. 11:14 makes some good points, and ^9:17, I'm assuming that you're not Steven, as everything in your post is spelled correctly. So you must be someone whom he might consider one of his "friends."

With friends like you, it's no wonder he's not getting the support from people that 11:14 so correctly identifies as lacking, and it's no wonder his life has come to this. Instead of posting your vitriol here, why not help get your friend the help he so desperately needs?

As an aside, I also wonder whether Steven, Susannah, and whomever else might be posting in Steven's defense are aware of how obviously different the levels of discourse generally are between their comments and everyone else's...

    ReplyDelete
  19. 10:45, pretty sure 9:17 was Susannah. No one spews immaturity and profanity like she does.
More importantly, will Frischling ever respond to being called out by Blanco, Liddy, Boyd, and other photographers on sportsshooter? Doubt it. He'd rather yell and scream here anonymously at anonymous posters.

    ReplyDelete
  20. 11:14 made the point everyone is wondering, challenging the real people in Frischling's life to step up and help him with his mental issues. Obviously 9:17 aka Nurse Sunny Vulva can't take that kind of challenge because every single day she does nothing whatsoever. Possibly because she's so goddamn stupid she's still in love with him (she loves SMART people, remember??) or because she's so lazy she just wants to keep him around as a free babysitter, no matter how insane he is.

So instead of wasting your time spewing vitriol here against anonymous strangers, why don't you help your children by helping their father? What is wrong with YOU?

    ReplyDelete
  21. He is still the butt of a joke over at SportsShooter (same subject, different thread): http://www.sportsshooter.com/message_display.html?tid=38880

  22. Nice to see Sam Morris can sink to the gutter when necessary, again. Funny guy, indeed.

    ReplyDelete
  23. How is making fun of an industry joke like Steven Frischling sinking to the gutter?

Shouldn't you be busy trying to find your ham radio license?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Nice to see Punchline Frischling predictably tab an "inappropriate" to a post others find "informative" or "funny". Why would anyone renew his membership in a group that truly vilifies him for his fabulist brand of journalistic dishonesty. What a lovely juncture of ignorance and hubris, no?

    ReplyDelete
  25. ^12:07, we would love to see you post that on Sports Shooter.

    ReplyDelete
  26. gosh I have to wonder who gave sam the IA? duh???

    ReplyDelete
  27. Steven, while you're clicking "Inappropriate" on posts and Tweeting utter nonsense we're all out working for a living to support your innocent children because you and Savannah are on welfare and EBT (food stamps).

You and that ugly "wife" of yours should shut you ignorant mouths and just say thank you for the food we put on your table.

I'll wait for my "thank you" on SS.

    ReplyDelete
  28. "12:07, we would love to see you post that on Sports Shooter."
That would make sense and show courage. Translation: not gonna happen.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Not to defend Steven, but.....he's not the one marking posts "inappropriate" on SS. Back in July I stumbled upon FishFraud and spent a couple weeks reading everything on here. At that time I checked his "detailed forum stats" (on his SS member page) and it showed that he has given 5 inappropriates to 5 different members. This has not changed:

Instant Feedback made by Steven E. Frischling:
    Category Percentage Number
    Informative 38.98% 276 (to 150 members)
    Funny 53.39% 378 (to 212 members)
    Huh? 4.66% 33 (to 24 members)
    Off Topic 1.55% 11 (to 11 members)
    Inappropriate 0.71% 5 (to 5 members)

There are others on SS that will defend him despite the mountain of evidence presented. Just look at Steven's last thread he posted to about TSA and airline baggage fees: http://www.sportsshooter.com/message_display.html?tid=37887

->> It's funny... Someone who really does know what the hell they're talking about comes along and everybody goes ")(*#$)(*@", "Unless you cite specific sources and provide links/data/references/etc" ...

If you're really so concerned with integrity, call his source and verify your claims that he's not credible. He named it. Otherwise, shut your mouth. You're journalists too.

Perhaps someone else is "shirking" common sense and marking the "anti-fish" posts as inappropriate.

  30. "Liddy, an old, over-the-hill, has-been, grumpy, chrome-dome geezer on his last leg as a staffer who thanks God every day for auto-focus cameras"

Yeah, let's compare Chuck Liddy with Steven Frischling, fired from every staff position he's ever had and can't take a sharp photo, autofocus or not. Great idea.

Where are those awards Frischling claims to have won?

Oh that's right, he didn't say it - he wrote it:

"I almost never enter photo contests, although I have had my images entered by others, such as an agency or publication. I have had some odd expierences with contests. You said that your photo was rejected because it was an exercize, I had the opposite. An agency submitted about 6 photos to a contest for Rescue-Disaster images, 5 photos were taken durring actual rescues, including photos of USCG rescuers over a stack of body bags the night TWA 800 crashed just outside the morge, these men(boys really) are holding each other and holding in tears"

    ReplyDelete
  37. yeah and ain't it convenient his amazing photos from that night are in a white envelope somewhere with the AP, which never bothered to publish them, but yet submitted them for awards?

Frischling, you're the world's biggest loser. How does it feel waking up every day a total failure?

    ReplyDelete
  38. "Liddy, an old, over-the-hill, has-been, grumpy, chrome-dome geezer on his last leg as a staffer who thanks God every day for auto-focus cameras"
crap. that hurts. really. I think I might start crying in a couple of minutes....maybe I'll even poke one of my eyes out since I rely so much on auto-focus....but let's be real. I mean I actually have two legs. and to be totally honest anyone that knows me knows I'm a pretty happy guy. as far as the bald reference, yes that is true....but come on, whoever posted that should at least have the guts to use their name....or hey...email me...chuckliddy@hotmail.com and tell me why you think I'm washed up. I am more than happy to stand by my record as a photojournalist. I don't need to make stories up. anyone who knows me knows that.

    ReplyDelete
  39. the fact that he's trying to insult you by saying you're bald shows what a desperate, pathetic, immature fool Frischling is.

Maybe he'll email you his award-winning photos of Coasties (boys, really) crying over body bags?

    ReplyDelete
  40. The only photo he has ever successfully emailed was his jerk-a-fish self portrait.

  41. 11:14, I considered myself one of Steven's friends, I can even say I liked his company, but then he stiffed my wife and I on our wedding photographs and cut off all contact. 43. USA Today carries Frischling's bullshit via Boarding Area. Does anyone know who to contact at USA Today about that? How is it possible to get away with that - at this time, not one interview has been confirmed - and still be allowed to publish? If Randy won't do something about it, maybe someone else will.

    ReplyDelete
  44. ...not one of the 17 TSA agent interviews...

    ReplyDelete
  45. wa, wa, wa. jealous 10:47? it's possible because he may possess knowledge you lack. hey, if you don't like his bs, don't read the usat, simple - for anyone possessing any level of intelligence.
and breaker, breaker, oh my! so surprised "chuck liddy" would lower himself to visit and respond to anything or anyone on this site, really. will the real "chuck liddy" please stand. c'mon. why a "seasoned" pro would feel the need to respond to anything here is beyond a lot of us.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Jealous of an asshole who fakes 17 interviews, lies about their existence, and continues to perpetrate his deceptions to the public? I beg to differ, dearie. If his blog is so honest, why should he fear any letter I write to USA Today? Shouldn't the editors just say, oh, we've got the evidence to back up honest old Frischling right here? Well, it's around here somewhere, isn't it? Oh, oh, that's right, it was full of bullshit from the start - a complete and utter lie designed to do one thing - make Frischling look good and line his pockets at the expense of honest journalism. And your only defense is to cower, bark obscenities and misdirect. Sorry, didn't fall for that one. You can expect a letter to every single outlet that publishes his claptrap until he can fully explain why no editor on earth has seen evidence of one single interview, and sorry, keeping their identities from the editor is pure bullshit - doesn't cut it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. 11:12, why do you continue to come here and reply to comments, while ignoring the blog content?

Why did you/Steven Frischlng say you/he had a license for a ham radio and was a firefighter/EMT when there is no evidence of this? Where can we find evidence to back up this claim please?

If you want to help yourself/Steven Frischling, then produce a shred evidence to counter this blog's content. Picking on comments is a waste of your time and makes you look like an even bigger idiot.

(Although each and every comment you leave here provides entertainment for many, many people.)

... and yes I do have proof that they are on government assistance.

  50. Steven/Susanna, I'm hurt. All you can manage for me is that I sank to the gutter by making a joke about you on a public message board? I mean, Thomas gets to be a rodeo clown. Brian Blanco gets to be illiterate. And Chuck, well, Chuck gets to be "an old, over-the-hill, has-been, grumpy, chrome-dome geezer on his last leg as a staffer who thanks God every day for auto-focus cameras 'cause he probably can't see anything anyway."

Where's the love for me? Aren't I deserving of at least some mild invective? I might not be in the same league as them photographically, but I did use my real name and didn't hide behind "anonymous" to ask you to explain 15 years of lying, deceit and non-fulfillment of contracts.

Be sure and look me up next time you're in Vegas. Oh, sorry, that would be LAS to a globe-hopper such as yourself.

  51. Anger issues, children? Perhaps an appointment and visit with that 11:14, Dr. Drew wannabe, may help.
Unless, of course, he is busy working on those ass-licking and cross-dressing issues with your mommy and daddy. Wonder if the Dr. Drew wannabe successfully cured that poor mutt with the "dog licks his own ass along with the cat's on Sunday afternoons" diagnosis?
"(Although each and every comment you leave here provides entertainment for many, many people.)" - At least something here is!

  52. Oh, I almost forgot. To the other two people posting and reading this blog, with the exception of Steven/Susanna, Steven did not mark my post on SportsShooter inappropriate. The person who did sent me an email saying that he did it.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Sam, if someone actually went to the trouble of emailing you to explain their reason for marking the post inappropriate that it may have had something to do with an effort to discourage calling further attention to the trainwreck unfolding on this blog.

I have received the only "inappropriate" marks of my 9 years with Sports Shooter as a result of similar interactions, and though I have not received an emailed explanation for these the fact that these could not all have originated from Mr Frischling leads me to suspect that these might have been other members gently discouraging further mention of this debacle.

This is by far more likely than actual Sports Shooter members rallying silently to the Frischling cause via the "rate this post" system.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I guess what I don't understand is this: What's the fucking point of his blog anyway?

I'm a photographer. When I get an assignment out of town I go online, find a flight and book it. Then, on the day of the flight, I get to the airport a couple of hours early and wait at my gate. When they call us to board, I stand up, walk toward the agent and board the fucking plane.

It's airline travel for fuck sake. It doesn't take a certain skill set or the reading of daily blog post or 30 mindless Tweets per day.

I DON'T NEED Steven E. Frischling's halfwit advice, fake interviews or reposted bullshit to get on a flight. In fact, I don't need "travel strategy" advice from anyone; not from Steven-Lying-Fuck-Frischling-Never-Flys-Anywhere-Frischling and not even from a REAL airline expert.

What the fuck? Book your flight and get on it. If you have a question about transporting your gear: CALL THE AIRLINE.

Why do "airline experts" make more of a to do about it than the rest of humanity?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Oh, no no no no. The photographer who emailed me to say he marked my comment inappropriate said he did it as a joke, because I asked for it in my parenthetical phrase. I laughed and replied that I wished his favorite football team ill will. He is a fantastic photographer, but more importantly, one of the most honest, stand up, conscientious photographers I have met. Nothing needs to be read into it further.

Now, back to our feature presentation...

  59. There's some kid who follows/interacts with Fishtard on Twitter who is an SS member. He probably marked the post but in typical Fish fashion, doesn't have the balls to actually insult anyone in public using his real name.

  60. Frischling and wife: Whether or not you choose to believe it, the people who post on this blog are real. They did not make up the stories and anecdotes on this blog, you did. 68. Instead of openly discussing factual issues at hand, the vile response akin to Gaddafi's hilarious TV and radio announcements, makes FlyingFuck and Friends of Frischling look completely stupid.

Frischling, if you are an expert on social media and corporate strategy, why have you not applied those same basic marketing principles to your own 'business'?

We know you lack formal education in business management, it's doubtful you graduated from high school (unless you have a tshirt to prove it).

We all know you failed miserably in your wedding photography business, corporate and architectural photography, photojournalism, and now, your latest endeavor, a social media expert.

Given your huge twitter following and lets not forget a massive readership of this fine website, is it not a good idea for you to formulate a sound businesslike strategy to end this conflict? In other words, apply the management principles you continually spout to aviation companies regarding billion dollar acquisitions and to individuals who are making travel plans.

You seem bright enough for scam artist. You may possess some level of streetwise education, but here you are not dealing with impressionable teenagers or other faceless 'aviation experts' who, just like you, are sitting in the kitchen wearing stained underwear blogging bullshit and surfing the twit net in hope of a major airline will hire your sorry ass.

Spewing obscenities will not shut down the relentless hounding to expose who you really are. 82. Holy crap. Now he is the Director of Photography for a magazine?

From the UK Amazon listing of his phantom book: "In 2005 Steven's knowledge of intricate travel logistics was pushed to 'the next level' as he flew an average of 15,000 miles per week criss-crossing North America and the World while working as a magazine Director of Photography. In this position, Steven was charged with producing images of high-power international executives on a nearly daily basis and needed to create demanding travel itineraries to match those of his subjects, with often extremely limited time constraints. To meet the challenges of his schedule, Steven often creates schedules that allow him to work in three separate time zones in a single day, or work in as many as four countries and on three continents in less than four days, to meet his clients' needs."

Which magazine would that be Stevie?

There is absolutely no need for one photographer to constantly fly all over the world taking portraits of executives. This type of portraiture can be easily done by a local photographer (does he really think he is that good of a photographer that he is better than anyone else in London, Hong Kong, San Francisco and New York?). There are probably only a handful of photographers who might be flown across the Atlantic or Pacific for a photo session (and it would likely be a session, not a 10 minute portrait) and their rates are likely cost prohibitive to many businesses. There is just not the demand for this fantasy. If there were, don't you think a photographer smarter that Stevie (not to difficult to find) and a better shooter than Stevie (again, not to difficult to find) would have figured this out and be rolling in dough?

How's that government cheese tasting kids?

Friends and family, who may be seen from our own safe distance as "enabling" him may in their own way be doing the best that they can to keep him as safe as they can.

While I certainly hope that someone will be able to help Mr Frischling, it may not be reasonable to expect friends and family to be in a position to do so at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  84. @7:17

yes, frischling actually did work as a director of photography for crn - http://www.crn.com/index.htm. I know, hard to believe and the folks who hired him are still wondering why they did. you see, they eventually had to force him out because he had decided at one point that he was just going to do whatever he wanted to do and book travel all over the world to shoot business portraits and to rack up frequent flier miles. even though his job was to be based in new york and work behind a desk where he would hire photographers to shoot assignments for the magazine, his ego got the best of him and he started to book unauthorized travel all over the world and he would go and complete the assignments that were supposed to have been given to freelancers. this is how he created this image as a travel strategist because he would concoct these ridiculous itineraries where he would literally get his subjects to meet him in the airport for a portrait session so he could fly off to multiple locations in one day. he would brag about this as if someone at crn was piling on this work when in reality this was never the job description that the bosses at crn had given him. once they realized what was going on they tried to reign him in but it ended up taking months for them to make that happen. when he finally left, he gave back all of his equipment that the company had purchased for him and most of it was trashed, some was missing. he borrowed $200 from his boss that he has still not paid back. he also has such bad credit that the company had been unable to secure him a company credit card and he doesn't have any personal credit cards either. that's why he never rents cars when he goes places since you need one for the rental.

once frischling and crn parted ways, he used all of those frequent flier miles that he had scammed to start his now failed wedding photography biz. he put a bunch of ads on craigslists all over the world, specifically in san francisco, hong kong and the uk where he offered inexpensive packages that included airfare since he was using ff miles. I assume that the miles have all run out and he no longer has status on any airline so he rarely flies anymore.

->> "I just started as a Director of Photography. I didn't want to sit at a desk and the sure aren't keeping me at a desk, so I am running a department, hiring freelancers, and shooting, mostly from the road.

I am shooting/traveling more as a DOP than I think I did as a chief photog at a daily paper.

Last week alone I shot in Atlanta twice, Providence, San Francisco, San Jose and outside of L.A. (I live in Conn, my office is in New York). Next week I am in Tacoma, Seattle, Oakland, Austin (or not if I can assign it out), Atlanta and Fort Meyers.

It is an odd juggling act having to be part of the cover and section meetings for a weekly and monthly magazine, handle the assigning of freelancers, coordinate with three different titles (and special publications) and shoot at the same time. All I can say is I now fully appreciate a company paid for cell phone, wireless data and the ability to work off a laptop and cell phone.......I should get my Delta platinum status in less than 14 days at this pace.

(and every freelancer I have hired so far, except for one, has been an SS.com member...I hired outside of SS.com because the member I sought out was busy)."

and on 11/22/05, his director of photography days were almost over:

"As a Director of Photography with a national business/tech magazine I used WpN for nearly 95% of my agency assignment needs. WpN has great photogs and a great staff.

So from both sides of the line I have been very happy with them.

(Although I wil be leaving my position as a DOP sometime this week, hope whoever follows me stays with WpN)".

"After a three month stint as Southcreek's Staff Photographer in Denver, Colorado, Andrew moved back to Los Angeles to take a job as Southcreek Staff Photographer in the sports and entertainment hotbed of Southern California where he has continued to provide images to Soutchreek's worldwide clientele."

Outside the obviously terrible sentence structure, does Southcreek (pretty much the bottom of the barrel of stock/wire services) even have a single STAFF position?

A google search for Andrew Fielding Southcreek gives you
    http://www.google.com/search?q=andrew+fielding+southcreek

Pretty much just his Linked IN profile and a post on Kelby's site where he is sucking up to Kelby.

If he was a staffer, wouldn't his shit get published all over the place. Maybe I am thinking too highly of Southcreek and their placement ability.

Dumbass, being a staffer means you get a salary. Working games for free and not selling pictures does not make you a staffer. Congrats on shooting that WNBA game, that must have been exciting.

  144. ^ not every eager-beaver travel blogger is like Frischling. Unlike him, @lax2nrt seems to actually travel.

But Andrew Fielding, with his preposterous bio and giant ego, is definitely a Frischling clone.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Self-aggrandizing is how you make it in the travel blogging world. Keep in mind that they shamelessly whore themselves out for first class tickets on airlines that they could never fly on without someone else footing the bill. They don't earn those seats.

It's all a con game. They all read Flyertalk and think that they're one of the elite ones because they game a system.

    ReplyDelete
  146. these fools get free tickets out of their blogging?

(notice nobody is sending Fish anywhere anymore)

    ReplyDelete
  147. There's no shortage of tourism agencies who will offer a presser to travel bloggers. Travel bloggers eat that stuff up - and naturally they give it a great review because they want to be known as someone who plays nicely and gets more freebies.

    ReplyDelete
  148. This particular thread has touched on so many new and enlightening developments far beyond Frischling's deception and spin of being a certified Ham operator, that I doubt Dr Drew, Oprah or the infamous Unsolicited Advisor would be able to offer any further constructive guidance for our sea wallowing mucus.

Frischling, this perpetual trend of making seriously bad decisions throughout your life will trail behind you like a slug slime on a summers day.

You are not a martyr for the young and impressionable wannabes, you are just a damn good bullshitter. Did Fielding really pay you $200 for advise?

As you plod along through the daily grind of retweeting mindless tidbits of the 'little one keeping you awake' or that endless dribble of 'shall I work or nap today?' and while you attempt to scam the unaware with blogging plagiarized content, be conscience of the fact that FishFraud is right behind you....just like slug slime.

  149. my favorite tweets are the ones about how hard he is working "its 3am and I'm still need to finish my blog post on Air Fuckistan before I go to bed. Woo hoo"

    ReplyDelete
  150. @10:42pm

I'm a travel blogger and we are not all like that - yes I know of some who have egos as big as Fish - and they're not well liked. As for giving good reviews just so we can be invited back, it might happen, however not all of us do. I was on a PR trip and I gave my honest opinion and some of it was negative - and I got invited on another as the company appreciated honesty.

Don't get me started on FlyerTalk - all they do is b***h, moan and inflate their egos even more.

    ReplyDelete
  151. I'm glad to see some real travel bloggers onboard here.

There are some good ones. @airlinereporter is one of them. He is straight up with confessing that he is a fanboy and does it out of pure love of the industry, so a lot of people are out there to help him. He never pretends to be a know-it-all travel strategist and aerospace expert ready to pounce on anybody that tries to correct him or point out his misunderstandings.

But, he does hang out with Steven Frischling so that's a negative point, but if Fish was like this guy, nobody would hate his guts and they would be happy to support him.

This runon sentence is made especially for you SunnyVulva :-P
A question for the legal eagles out there. If FishDouche is being targeted in a criminal proceeding with KLM as the victim of his crime- and if he still utilizes his KLM experience on his resume to seek more victims to perpetuate crimes upon- would any of his revenue using their (KLM) name to bolster his reputation be considered 'ill-gotten gains' once he's convicted? It would seem that using fraud to perpetuate more fraud would have to be covered somewhere in our legal code. Fuck you Steve...

    ReplyDelete
  153. KLM is not the victim. It was IAG - the consultant group he was working through. The claim is that he was to get a percentage of the fee, but decided to keep it all and put his own bank account number on the invoice.

  160. 8:02 - That kind of sums up his mental state.

After retweeting a typical series of mindless blah this morning, Fishprick sent this twit:

    Flying With Fish
    @flyingwithfish Flying With Fish

This Tuesday morning is shaping up to be a Monday morning. I hate indecisiveness. Yes-No-Yes-No-Yes-No is NOT the way to win people over

He is in a world of own.

    ReplyDelete
  161. @8:13

And the piss take on that one is Fishfucks supporter congratulating him!!! A 15 year old teenager! What is wrong with Frischling? Is he deliberately targeting youngsters for awe appeal or is this there something else more sinister?

    ReplyDelete
  162. 8:16AM, this could be grounded in actual reality as a veiled indication of the direction of what would presumably be ongoing negotiations for the plea that has been rescheduled several times.

Yes-No-Yes-No-Yes-No could be "Yes" to no jail time, "No" to reducing the charges from a felony to a misdemeanor, "Yes" to a request to reduce the fine, "No" to a request to waive community service hours, "Yes" to a request for normal probation as opposed to intensive probation, and then "No" to a request for court supervision instead of probation.

  164. You too can afford to work for US Presswire when mummsy and daddsy pay your room and board and probably buy your gear to boot. I'd suggest a business class or two but that would be like caring which I don't...

Holy friggin' Cow! I've just been retweeted by @mia_farrow ... I have arrived :0) My Mom would be so happy if she knew what Twitter was.

One, I can't find a RT by Mia of anything Stephan Freshling Tweeted. Am I missing it? Two, would his mom be happy about anything involving her embarrassing son?

  167. Speaking of things sinister: I notice the Long Island serial killer of various prostitutes of recent note appears to have gone on hiatus. Is it perhaps that the sociopathic serial killer is no longer living on Long Island?

Not that a standup guy like Steven who shirks paying porn bills, appears with his dick in his hand via modern technology, and seems to have a axe to grind specifically with brides/weddings, would ever do something MORE pathetic. Of course not.

He's waaaay too busy marking batteries with fake TSA stickers, carrying knives on airliners, and using Nikita Khruschev's shoe to bang on hapless passports. Did I mention he is also very busy taking beautiful images?
I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit while typing the last sentence- even in jest!

Nowhere on Mia's stream is a retweet of anything Fishdick tweeted. At least I couldn't find it. Rushdie and Mia were locating each other on Twitter in regards to the Troy Davis case. I could be wrong and I could be missing something.
