Just for fun, we've taken advantage of Blogger's nifty capabilities to add a poll to the bottom of this blog.
First poll - guess Fish Fraud's identity! The first four options are Steven Frischling's own accusations, in actual order in which he announced who was behind the site. The other options are a few other ideas we've seen floating around plus a "none of the above."
Unfortunately we can't edit the poll once it's live (please excuse typos in Guesses 1 and 5!) but comment below if you have your own theory.
Obviously it's just for fun and we will not be announcing if our dear readers guessed correctly or not. We're immensely enjoying the various conspiracy theories put forth, especially by Frischling himself!
NOtA - former employer/coworker
ReplyDeleteThe guy across the street.
ReplyDeletenone of the above: the evil moyel who fucked up his son's circumcision. Don't hire Rabbi Edward Scissorhandstein!
ReplyDeleteI think Vice President Joe Biden is behind this blog.
ReplyDeletetwo votes so far for Frischling himself! Oh my...
ReplyDeletethe poor phone sex lady who never got her money after all her hard work!!!
ReplyDeleteFishFraud blogmeister must be:
ReplyDelete1) A woman. No man is capable of wrath of such intensity
2) A journalist. So careful with facts, knowledge of the law, and able to produce content non-stop
3) Somebody that Fish pissed off but not in a way that would be obvious to Fish himself (NOT a former business partner)
"No man is capable of wrath of such intensity"
ReplyDeleteLMAO! though true for the most part!
I think... a travel journalist or blogger. They have the real motivation plus the skills to tear him apart. Everyone else I think would just take him to court. What about that blogger who Fish maybe stole from?
Since Fish is an idiot I bet it's someone he thinks is his best friend. How did they get screenshots of his facebook page?
detective 101: who has the most to gain if Frischling's online rep is destroyed? rival blogger.
ReplyDeleteI think we can safely eliminate photographers. While they may be some of the largest fans and contributors, they came on later. The early days of FishFraud had nothing to do with photography, other than the wedding photos.
ReplyDelete"rival blogger"
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't make sense. We don't know who it is! They're not gaining anything if they remain anonymous.
11:10 - ..unless they have another site somewhere and are keeping the connection hidden. Okay.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely 100% none of the above. I guarantee it. Why? FishFraud is working hard to maintain his (or her) anonymity. Yet he creates a poll "for fun" that allows people to guess who he is? That's a big risk. What if the mass majority guessed correctly? Would he suddenly delete it?
ReplyDeleteanswer is none of the above. I think he enjoys screwing with Frischling and this is another way.
^good point
ReplyDeletealso agree with 11:07. photo community would have found out a lot earlier than we did.
thats why 1O:11 profile is not on the list
ReplyDeletebut I think if was a journalist, they wouldn't go the blog route. Why not just pretend to do a profile on him, catch him in a bunch of lies, and expose him? That would bring them satisfaction and some glory.
ReplyDeleteI just don't see how someone would do all this work for fun or even because they don't like him. There has to be something to gain out of doing this blog, like material gain. That's why I think a rival blogger (possibly journalist like 10:11) who is pissed that Frischling gets these opportunities (like invited on the Lufthansa flight) and they don't.
my vote's on the basketball chick who kicked him in the face:
ReplyDeletehttp://fuckyeahsportsshooter.tumblr.com/post/3629551847/last-year-i-was-kicked-in-the-face-by-player-on
wouldn't it be funny as hell if it was his own family? you know he owes them a shitload of money
ReplyDeleteagree with 11:16. Frischling will never guess and the blog owner is having a laugh every time he picks a new wrong suspect
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure it was Charlie Sheen.
ReplyDeleteit was "Huge" Grant! this is step 2 of his master plan to eliminate Steven Frischling
ReplyDeleteWINNING!
ReplyDeleteCan't agree that it is someone looking for a material gain. Revenge is an incredibly strong motivator. Much like the Dilbert cartoon, once the creator gets the ball rolling, enough content gets submitted via others that it pretty much writes itself.
ReplyDelete04:21 is right. No blogger would go through this much effort for any business reason. There are so many other bloggers you can't go after them all. Fish's blog does not really appeal to industry professionals so I don't see a high upside for it.
ReplyDeleteBut Fish is a master at pissing people off. Even if from a distance. Self promotion and arrogance is important at the start, but its not long term sustainable way to grow. Some people may be attracted to him at first, but after a while you despise him when you can see through the fabrications. Its as if you have been fooled.
This thread is lame. Blog is running its course and Frischling wins. How about getting back to task - Fish Fraud. I don't care who started this blog, just keep it going in the right direction. I don't need to read 125 comments name calling. Put up some goods. I'd love to see some interviews with real people he pissed off. More story inaccuracies. I would love to see a real response and entry from Addison. Can someone get this guy to talk about Fish? Please!
ReplyDeleteAddison - so way off track.
ReplyDeleteSteven Frischling wins? Get a clue. The goods are here.
"I would love to see a real response and entry from Addison. Can someone get this guy to talk about Fish?"
ReplyDeleteConsidering Frischling's recent Tweets and Facebook posts, it would seem the only talking Addison is doing is to his lawyer.
This is 12:13 continuing where I left off.
ReplyDeleteStop playing "guess who I am?" and get back on message. That's what I'm saying.
If this blog implodes into this back and forth comments, yes it looses credibility. I've been an avid reader and occasional poster with relevant info.
I'm asking the moderator to post more content relevant to fraud. Yes some goods are here, I want more. I think it can get to the next level of actually finding some of the people he has frauded and slandered and get their input on this site (like Addison). Addison is some innocent person SF has decided to drag through the mud to try to save his own hide. Time to talk to these people and get them on board here. Time to talk to the Bristol Press about his masterbation photo and posting it when you find it (please pixelate anything that might make us vomit) Anybody at UMass want to step up and talk about this loser? How dialing one of the 10 phone numbers Fish gives out and ask him directly about his awards? Tell him the conversation is being recorded for this site and post it. Mike posted a couple threads ago:
"And while I support the blog - and the foundation it is built on - to show the cases where Fish has lied and defrauded people - the comments are not contributing to that."
This post is not contributing to the foundation the site was built on as some of the comments as well.
anyone else think that^ is Fish... the awful spelling gives it away.
ReplyDeleteloses not looses
defrauded not frauded
masturbation not masterbation
^^^
ReplyDelete"Considering Frischling's recent Tweets and Facebook posts, it would seem the only talking Addison is doing is to his lawyer."
Mod, what has he been saying?

ReplyDeleteFor what purpose? Frischling is the one who quite publicly accused them, so it it up to him to prove their involvement. There is no evidence or basis linking them to us, whatsoever, except they followed @fishfraud on Twitter (why would we follow ourselves on Twitter?). Have one or more of them told us things about Frischling, as multiple others have done? Possibly. Was it stupid of him to assume they are behind the site? Yes. Was it moronic and illegal of him to libel and harass them? Incredibly.
But, kind person commenting from Connecticut, thank you for your suggestion.
1:41 dunno about Facebook but going by his Twitter it seems he got a letter from a lawyer:

Oh my is this mail making me laugh ... so much incorrect info and minor details that further prove my point. Thank You !

Any lawyers want to give me a "good" reason a lawyer might be listed as "Inactive" twice in five years with the California Bar Ass'n?

@MMPhotoTours I checked, they have not been admitted to any other Bar, they have been San Diego based since '97. My guess is they didn't pay

An error level analysis will determine if the photo is real:
ReplyDeletehttp://errorlevelanalysis.com/
based on his tweets, including when he tweeted Addison's address near San Diego, I will assume Addison is now suing him.
ReplyDeleteand since he says he talked with the lawyer directly, I'm also assuming he doesn't even have his own lawyer.
now would be a good time for the Fish Man to get a job or he will be representing himself. How can we get this to show up on Court TV?
wasn't there a comment on here from someone saying he used to consider Fish a good friend until he hired him for his wedding and got screwed? I'm not saying it's him, but it's someone like that probably. People don't get over ruined wedding days.
ReplyDeletewhen the blog first started, the main focus was on the wedding photos. A reasonable person would have thought that it would have been easy to burn a disk and send the photos, or at the worst case send a refund, and it would be over.
ReplyDeleteIf it were a wedding photo customer, I'm not ready to assume even Fish is that irrational.
