Have Info on Steven Frischling?

Guess what happens if you call up the Connecticut Attorney General's office? While they do not give out the name of the prosecutor, they are happy to share the name of the investigator responsible for Steven Frischling's case:

Robert F Manley Jr.
Phone number: (860) 443-8444
Email: robert.manley"AT-SYMBOL-GOES-HERE"po.state.ct.us

We doubt anyone has info on the charges he is facing, but we think those who have been his previous victims might want a chance to speak out on Frischling's (lack of) character and why he does not deserve any leniency. Please use your real name though - we're sure it will be confidential.

Six days until arraignment.

  1. Oh my, Mr Manley is about to get a lot of email. Have nice weekend SF. Only a few more days....

  2. what are the odds he will flee?

  3. I'm not sure how significant this is as I will frequently see this spot jump around a bit, but when I googled Steven Frischling just a moment ago, the "Warning to the National Media" post showed up at the top of the list.

  4. I sure hope somebody kept full screen shots of the iagfraud blog. Beyond the forged documents, the blog could be some of the most damning evidence as it establishes his clear motive for diverting the funds.

  5. didn't someone say they had the screenshots?

  6. We all have to stand back and give a big round of applause for FishFraud. In the unending pursuit of justice and transparency on the internet, this site sets the gold standard of crowded-sourced investigation. Just imagine what the world would be like without FishFraud.

  7. ^10:10, a wholehearted thank you. Frischling's few remaining supporters seem to think we have some private dispute with him. That is not the case. This is about exposing a fraud who has gotten away with it for far too long.

  8. I really believe in this concept. The web has made it easy for people like Fish and other so-called "consultants" to try to take a short-cut and create a career that never existed. FishFraud has proven that as easy it is to put up that fake veneer, its equally easy to tear it down.

The other big lesson there about karma - if you continue to cheat others and act condescending and build your brand on self-promtion, eventually its going to come back to you.

  9. From his latest FB post:

"Rather than leave my blog and a project that got put off by unexpected events out of my control I've decided to just keep plowing forward. Rather than have a clouded mind, at this point my motivation to just be better at what I do is at an all time high (and I'm usually highly motivated to start with)."

    To be better at what?

    ReplyDelete
  10. No kidding. Love that he describes himself as "usually highly motivated" - what? Motivated to do what? Be a failure? He has no job and spends all day on Twitter.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I can't wait for this week.

    ReplyDelete
  12. This is just another of his blowhard feel-sorry-for-me comments - there's nothing in it that needed to be told. A bunch of things happened to me today but I'm going to keep doing what I always do - so what? - no one talks like this except someone who likes drawing attention to himself. This is a guy who likes hearing himself talk.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Oh yes, I'm really really busy, very very busy, with big important projects, many many big important projects that are all very big and important and secret so I can't tell you about them now but just wait one week and you'll see how very big and important they are.

    ReplyDelete
  14. it's too bad Twitter doesn't go back that far. I wonder how many times he's announced big and exciting projects or trips only to have nothing materialize?

    ReplyDelete
  15. like once a week he brags about having "10 blog posts in the works" at that moment. And none show up.

    ReplyDelete
  16. The best is when he complains how busy he is and how many projects he has, and all the important people he has to call and all the companies and laws he has to research and info he has "to vet" and not enough time to do it all... and then spends the next eight hours sending a tweet every 10 seconds. And then puts up photos of the dinner he made.

  17. A response to his message (evidently his followers still don't understand its not about a dispute with Addison its about criminal charges):

"Mary Kirby Steven, hear me out. I agree with you. Focus on your work. I think this shit with Addison is hurting you both! Addison, I hope you see this. The two of you need to make amends. Figure it out - outside the courts (number one) and outside of social media. Get it together boys! Life is too short and true #avgeeks don't play this way. #nufsaid"

SF's response (he seems to think his court case is not under his control - well how you defend yourself certainly is! He should be focusing now 100% on how he will testify and worry about the blog later otherwise he will be writing from prison):

"Steven Frischling Mary ... I am talking about forgetting what I can't control right now and I wasn't naming names or situations, or any of that. I am just focused on getting my Flying With Fish content back on track and getting another project I had in mind tackled. Life goes on and everything else will be what it is."

    ReplyDelete
  18. ugh. We don't know who Mary Kirby is but is she not implying that FishFraud is Addison? "I think this shit with Addison is hurting you both! Addison, I hope you see this. The two of you need to make amends. Figure it out - outside the courts (number one) and outside of social media. Get it together boys!"

We hope FishFraud is not having a negative impact on Addison in any way. He's already been victimized enough by his brief association with Frischling. Unfortunately the only way we could clear his name definitively is to announce our true identity and that's not going to happen (because Frischling is a lunatic - cue "Psycho" theme) Apologies to Addison. We wish we had started the blog a year earlier so he would have possibly never partnered with Frischling.

And yes, she's an idiot if she thinks this is all some business dispute. She's obviously buying what Fish is selling. Mary Kirby sounds like a fake name - is it possible Fish made her up?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Most of Fish's fans choose to look the other way and only believe what Fish says.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm surprised he's not asking for money publicly, but what are the odds he's asking his biggest suckers privately to donate to his "defense"

    ReplyDelete
  21. omg what a victim I am! poor me! this was all a huge surprise because I thought I got away with it! It's all out of my control even though I could plead guilty and make restitution! Now I'm a hero because I'm continuing to do what I do every day: NOTHING!

    signed,
    epic douchebag Steven Frischling

  22. This is who Mary Kirby is....

    ReplyDelete
  23. oh Runway Girl. We've seen her on Twitter. Whatever the name, she's a woman in need of a clue.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Mary Kirby very likely has little or nothing to do with the photography industry. Give enough time with Frischling, and sooner or later he gives himself away. He's only relatively recently introduced himself to the travel industry. It doesn't take long to see that this guy is a complete schmo. All she has to do is question one thing he says, and she'll be on his shit list.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Mary is a well known airline industry blogger. Ignoring the reality of Fish shows how clueless she is as well.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I wonder how Mary would feel if she hired a wedding photographer who never delivered her photos.

I wonder how Mary would feel if she hired some guy to photograph her wedding only to find that most of his resume was made up.

I wonder how Mary would react if she had a subcontractor (or whatever) try to rip her off.

I wonder how Mary would feel is some guy tried to extort money from her.

I wonder how Mary would feel following some blogger's advice only to find out that he never really had any experience in the things he was advising about.

    ReplyDelete
  27. All of his friends think that Fish is the victim of Addison. How messed up is that?

    ReplyDelete
  28. ^That is precisely what he wants people to think. Funny how he dropped his other theories without a word after open harassment and threats against those two women he was blaming for awhile. (We assume there was no private apology because there was certainly no public one.)

  31. SPEOE

    noun, pronounced "Spee-Oh"
acronym for Self Proclaimed Expert On Everything
The annoying know-it-all in everyone's social circle, or quasi-member thereof, who always insists on one-upping the person controlling a current conversation with useless factoids or name-dropping to make himself appear more knowledgable or superior to the audience in question. Considers himself (herself) the perfect candidate for "Jeopardy"

    ReplyDelete
  32. SPEOE - if you looked that up in a dictionary, you would see a picture of Steven Frischling.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Or many of the other self-proclaimed experts.....

    ReplyDelete
  34. Fish is the ultimate SPEOE. A more obnoxious man never lived. Two minutes after meeting him you want to punch him in his fugly face.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I checked out the "new" www.thetravelstrategist.com. All it is is a blog with content that screams "duh"

He thinks people will pay him for this? Does he not know his name is dirt?

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm one of the people who was harassed, threatened, impersonated and slandered by Steven and his wife in March. Mr. Manley is going to hear from me tomorrow with a boatload of info. Steven is profoundly disturbed and needs a mental evaluation by the court. Maybe he will get forced into some kind of psychiatric treatment.

    ReplyDelete
  37. The only thing worse than SF's english skills apparently is his math.

    From his blog:

"In a random sample of 100 of this airline’s Twitter followers, 83 Twitterstreams were of Spam accounts or Spamesque (is that a word?) in content. Of the 17 accounts that didn’t fall into the Spam category, 9 were from users who were either not in any of the airline’s demographics or target audience, or were accounts that were ‘collectors’ of followers.

This left 11 viable followers, out of a random sample of 100 followers, that the airline was likely to appeal to, engage with or have engage with them."

So, according to SF, 100-83=17. Good so far.

    Then, 17-9=11.......

    Ok.

    ReplyDelete
  38. 7:30, we're sorry for what you went through (and for anyone who has met him). Did he ever apologize?

7:33, that's because he made the whole thing up as he wrote it!

    ReplyDelete
  39. 7:30 be prepared for him to start harassing you again

    ReplyDelete
  41. so let's say Fish gets convicted... are you going to continue FF?

    ReplyDelete
  42. ^definitely. His conviction should further interest in the blog and more people (like Flight Africa) might come forward.

Plus it's not like he'll be getting a life sentence. How long until the SPEOE is back with a new area of expertise?

If found guilty of either charge he could serve 3 months jail time.
Civil law suits will follow with multiple victims seeking compensation.
I'd say fishdick media career is well and truly over.

  52. This is the brave new world where all people know is what they read on Twitter.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Let's see...according to 2009 stats the US had 671 million domestic airline passengers and 215 million international passengers. Our guy's air travel tips twitter account currently has 7,128 (obviously misguided) followers. Yet he is a self proclaimed social media expert based on this astounding level of market audience penetration. #Outfreakingstanding
For the sake of comparison, @FLUFFYTHECAT has 14,516 followers and no court arraignment date this week.

    ReplyDelete
  54. What I don't get is FIsh's followers that blindly stand up for him. Like this guy on Twitter, after FishFraud told him four times and all the links that Fish was arrested on felony charges and he still insists its a "criminal complaint". Either this is one of Fish's aliases or this guy is like really dense:

  59. Frischling & Baochi Nguyen stroked each other's egos by posting glowing linkedin recommendations on the same date (March 5). Baochi's write up can be found in the "SF comes out of hibernation" comments here.

SF's recommendation for Baochi: "Above all else, Baochi is a communicator, and an excellent one at that. Baochi possesses the rare ability to connect with Boingo's diverse costumer base on an individual levels, and turn a corporation into a unique personality that connects with its customers 1-on-1. As Boingo's social media continues to grow in an organic manner, utilizing new channels to build sustainable loyalty and customer recruitment, Baochi is at the forefront of advancing her company's presence and needs. March 5, 2011"

So, the two have apparently worked together on some awesome social media project. Could it have been Boingo's "Valentine's Marriage Proposal Contest" where SF took 2nd place? Or did SF and Boingo have another working relationship, and how was he allowed to enter the contest in the first place?
