Obviously, someone at National Car Rental royally messed up. No doubt he sent them an over-the-top proposal and his resume of outright lies, failed to mention his arrest for embezzlement involving KLM, and whoever it was over there decided to hire him without doing any kind of basic check.
Stupid, stupid, stupid. Please help us inform these fine ladies about the trainwreck that is Steven Frischling:

UPDATE: National dumped Frischling! Thanks all who contacted them.
Done. What could there be on his resume that he can verify? Not much, probably.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to call them tomorrow. Someone should post warnings on the page
ReplyDeleteLaura is OOTO until the 24th. Contact them directly. Posting on the FB page is an excellent idea.
ReplyDeleteYou can try posting on FB but beware of Fish retaliation... he will sink to anything.
ReplyDeleteYou're right - didn't think that through. He can be a snot.
ReplyDeleteI was going to make a fake account to blast him on the page
ReplyDeleteWorse than being a snot - he is a downright psycho.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know the line of bullshit that he sold Enterprise. Needless to say, I'm going to Hertz from now on.
ReplyDeleteInteresting he's 'taking over' their Facebook page and not @nationalcares. I mean he is the Twitter king. (nobody re-tweets better than he)
ReplyDeleteHard to believe a company wouldn't do a simple Google query of someone before letting them participate in their branding/marketing efforts. I mean Fish Fraud is the 4th link returned when I Google his name.
Hopefully Fish Fraud and others on the forum will be making polite and appropriate suggestions to National Car Rental regarding SF.

Don't just send a note to National's PR flaks, send to their executives letting them know that this is going on. The department that runs their facebook page may not be the PR department. That will light a fire.

we have to wait another month, this sux
ReplyDeletehe can't keep getting it delayed forever. And the important thing is it isn't going away.
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck does this even mean:
ReplyDelete(let’s say National … you know because I’m not biased seeing as they’re letting me take over the content on their Facebook Page or that I’ve been a National Emerald Club Executive tier member and their comp’ing my status for year)
So, he is stating he isn't biased by citing the freebies from he is getting from one particular car rental agency, in a posting to coincide with a campaign with said company, and that this is the only company cited by name in the piece?
Wondering how the FTC would feel about this...
And wondering if an industry that is known for slimeball contracts and customer screws is aware of the way they are dragging themselves down in the public eye by publicly associating with this weasel.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please know we are taking this matter very seriously and looking into it. Based on the amount of feedback we have gotten, we will not be working with Mr. Frischling.

"Based on the amount of feedback we have gotten, we will not be working with Mr. Frischling."
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I heard that WalMart is hiring cashiers.
I just called them. They going to hold off using him. Said they got a lot of calls and emails... Also said he wasn't taking over the facebook but was going to he a guest blogger....
ReplyDeleteI posted a comment on his latest blog post about rental cars. Let's see how long it stays up.
ReplyDeletethat is fantastic!!! frischling will claim that it is a huge conspiracy and that all of his bad reviews on yelp and his F rating with the better business bureau are all manufactured by addison. of course, he was never arrested even though it says so on his court document.
ReplyDeletethis old fish fraud post completely sums up frischling and how he just makes shit up. this should be used as a prime example for people that have hired or are thinking of hiring him. http://fishfraud.blogspot.com/2011/03/steven-frischlings-conflicting-accounts.html
taking over facebook and being a guest blogger. those are two entirely different things. I am shocked that steven would exaggerate something like that. so unlike him.
ReplyDeleteSomeone screenshot his bragging about National before he deletes it! I'm on my phone or I would do it
ReplyDeleteoh man FishFraud rawks!
ReplyDelete@7:16 That is AWESOME
ReplyDelete^7:16: Looking into it, and not using him are two different things, something doesn't sound right.
ReplyDelete6:42. Perhaps it isn't Frischling who's postponing the arraignment. Maybe the prosecutor's office will be filing additional and/or other charges against our fave faux fotog and social media guru. See 3rd paragraph under "what happens when I go to court for the first time?":

I love this obviously set up photo of fishdick trying to look important and having the appearance of working on some tight deadline with two laptops in an airport. everything about this photo is absurd.

@9:19 Maybe he just couldn't figure out how to open two programs at the same time on one machine...
ReplyDeletehahah
From the expertlaw link above: "Sometimes, a defendant will be released on his own recognizance -- his promise that he will appear for the next court hearing."
ReplyDeleteHAha. I wonder if he's previous no shows at the end of his wedding "photog" days will get taken into account.
Maybe he's thinking that if he keeps postponing it, they'll forget all about him.
ReplyDeleteThat two-laptop airport photo just SCREAMS, "Hey, everybody, look over here. I'm very important and I'm an international photojournalism super hero. Please DEAR GOD let me sit next to someone on this flight that wants to ask me about my heroics and all the places I've been."
ReplyDeleteTen bucks says he pretends to edit real photographers' war photos on his laptop with the screen turned just slightly to the passenger sitting next to him in hopes that they strike up a conversation about his contribution to mankind... before he does. Another 10 bucks says he purposely requests a middle seat so he can double the amount of passengers he can impress.
i was just browsing along and came upon your blog. just wanted to say good blog and this article really helped me. cheap airport car rentals
